FUEL
EFFICIENCY:
The moot question! "kya average hai?" I
did quite a few bottle tests. On a highly dug up road (near my house)
where pipe laying work was going on and mounds of loose earth were
strewn around necessitating many gear changes and travelling in
low gear was necessary, the GF returned 44 kpl. On a not so crowded
road at speeds between 60 and 70 kph, it returned 49 kpl. At speeds
around 45 kmph on a sparsely trafficked road it gave 59 kmpl and
at steady 40 on a slightly downward slope it gave an astounding
65 kmpl. Discounting the worst and best figures, the overall fuel
average came out to 55 kmpl, which for a bike with these traits
is bluddee good!
FINALLY:
Kinetic has come of age. By producing the GF, Kinetic has proved
that it has what it takes. The GF itself is quite a package. Great
looks - full marks for that. Three, color choices - Red, silver
and metallic black - for now. A one year / 15000 km warranty.
Electric start. Disc brakes. Very good fuel efficiency. The works.
The price?
Rs.52,178/- on-road Pune for the drum brake version and Rs.55,165/-
on-road Pune for the disc brake version on 10 May 2002 at Kinetic
Pavilion, Pune.
