Hosur-based
maker of some of the most successful two- and four-stroke
motorcycles, TVS Motor Company has begun rolling out its
new Fiero F2. Based around a super strong 150cc four-stroke
mill, the new Fiero avatar gets a totally redesigned chassis
and suspension, mods to engine and transmission, plus crucial
tinkering to the overall style to make it a larger looking,
better handling bike with sweet power delivery. We hustled
the first Fiero F2 out of captivity for this road test report.
Why
title the road test feature of the new TVS Fiero F2 as the
new Super Commuter? In the realms of the Indian motorcycle
world, anything above 125cc and you start to think Performance,
you start to think about cutting edge technology, you start
to think about standout style and you start to think about
being individualistic.
On
the face of it, the original Fiero had respectable Performance but the F2 needed an edge to match if not get over the present
day competition. Its predecessor already packed in the technology
so there was no need to question it on this front. And,
it is individualistic in its own way because it goes against
the established grain for bikes in the premium segment with
subdued style which is surely a departure from the girly
looks of the original Fiero. So what made yours truly term
it as a super commuter when it has Pulsar 150-matching Performance if not its killer looks? Read on and it will be made clear...
