Chassis & Suspension : Top of its class

Under that new set of clothes, the Ambition is in effect the CBZ, the very bike that emerged as the top handling bike during our recent test at the MMSC race track in Chennai. Which, by extension, makes the Ambition the best handling bike in its class, though limited to an extent by the smaller 3.0 rear tyre employed.

Chassis is a tubular single downtube diamond frame using the engine as a stressed member. Coupled with the optimised suspension componentry, this endows the Ambition with confidence inspiring cornering abilities and excellent straight line stability. Ride quality is of a high order, compliant but retaining a degree of stiffness that prevents it from bottoming out. The limiting factor in the equation is the smaller 3.0 rear tyre that results in the bike sliding around a little too much at full lean angles and also locking up quite easily under braking.
