Rewind
to January 2003. Sirish Chandran and Aspi Bhathena are at
Kinetic’s Chinchwad production facility on invitation
for a dekko at the Hyosung Aquila. At the time Kinetic was
unsure of the response this cruiser would elicit and wanted
our assessment as to whether the bike would make enough
of an impact to justify import into India as a CBU. No Indian
manufacturer has to date come in with a CBU (excluding BMW
with the F650 venture) so there were no sure-fire means
of determining if the Aquila (in limited numbers) would
strike the right chord with the enthusiast biker. Sirish
and Aspi were however suitably impressed with the Aquila
and raring to gauge its Performance in a full blown road test. Here it comes... |
