In
context of the Indian market starved of exotic machinery
it doesn’t take a crystal ball to gauge the impact
the Aquila will have but I’d much rather the bike
does the talking when she is available to the public. The
Eliminator and the Enticer have already proved without doubt
that there is no dearth of consumers in the cruiser market.
And with unmatched Performance and decent Fuel Efficiency,
in tandem with the most desirable of packages, there is
no way the Aquila can lose. The Aquila could however sell
itself solely on merit of its looks and the image it personifies.
I do also hope that Kinetic is able to provide an adequate
service backup which may prove to be a hindrance if not
attented to.
At Rs 1.45 lakh on-road Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Chandigarh
(in Bangalore it will cost a couple of thousand more), the
Aquila is the most expensive bike in India. But one must
also know that the Aquila sold in Korea and Australia is
priced much higher. What raises desirability no end more
like a limited edition series is that Kinetic only plans
to bring in a 100 Aquilas, which will be dispensed on a
first come first serve basis. So unless you are quickest
on the draw with your cheque book, the Aquila is a dream
bike which may prove to be a case of here-today-gone-tomorrow. |
