  Chassis & Suspension

Striking a balance with the right bits in the right places.

The ?no stripping? policy is evident everywhere. The double cradle frame developed for the slightly heavier 125cc machine is more than capable of lending it a competitive edge. We were quite impressed with the 125?s dynamic abilities and the new Discover is no different.
It employs the same 1305mm wheelbase along with 17-inch wheels with 2.75? front and 3.00? inch rear tyres. The suspension too, with 135mm travel for telescopic front forks and SNS at the rear, has been borrowed from the elder sibling.
The set-up though slightly on the stiffer side, offers good ride no matter what the speed or surface. It didn?t take long to figure out the pros and cons of this set-up on smooth or potholed surfaces, or broken tarmac.
The Discover doesn?t pamper you with a soft, cushioned ride at low speeds but it certainly is more composed at higher speeds over any road surface. Just the compromise you need for everyday travel given road conditions in Indian cities.
