Seriously,
if you were to buy this bike, would Fuel
Efficiency be top of your shopping list or even a
priority? I don't think so. But at the same time we all
have our social obligations and a gas guzzling bike doesn't
make a politically correct statement in these times of skyrocketing
oil prices. And anyway wherever we took the bike to during
the course of our test we had people ask about price and
also Fuel Efficiency.
The Eliminator, to her credit returned a best mileage figure
of 48kmpl and worst of 42kmpl. Very impressive considering
her weight and overall cruiser package that cares two hoots
for aerodynamics and such crap. In fact in the fuel consumption
stakes, the bigger engined Eliminator gives better - by
a very big margin - than what the Hero Honda CBZ delivers
and on this count the Kawasaki engine makes the crucial
difference. And don't forget the Performance that she is capable of. This Fuel
Efficiency, eye-opening as it is, will definitely
make the bike more appealing (as if she isn't appealing
enough already) to prospective buyers who don't give a fig
for biking nuances but just want a machine which suggests
image and stature. The bike sports a 14-litre fuel tank
that gives her a range of 630km between refills. Hasslefree
Sunday morning rides then beckon the faithful, we all can
see that! |
