The
best Indian bike to date? Probably. Different people look
for different things in a bike. For her sheer blend of style,
power and to an extent Fuel Efficiency nothing can hold a candle to the Eliminator. And oh don't
forget the pricing that will keep her exclusive and desirable
for a long time to come.
Expect the Eliminator to be priced in the whereabouts of
75 to 80 thousand rupees. This sounds like and definitely
is a lot of money for a two-wheeler but take a look at the
overall package, features offered etc and she doesn't seem
to be very overpriced. The Eliminator is not targeted at
the volumes market. Bajaj doesn't expect volumes in the
league of the M80. Rather she is targeted as a brand ambassador
to build up Bajaj Auto's market value as also a shining
symbol of how much focus this predominant scooter maker
of years ago is now lavishing on motorcycles. And the Eliminator
surely can't fail at the task at hand.
To me, the Eliminator is the best, no two ways about it.
But then I am not really into racing and prefer pose value
to corner speeds. On the other side of the fence are people
like Aspi Bhathena, our resident racer who would rather
have a sports bike as would the bossman himself. For them
and thousands of others like them, Bajaj Auto has kept the
flame of faith burning, the 200cc Pulsar is just round the
corner. In the meantime, Adil, here's me asking, begging,
pleading for a raise. Try and understand Boss, I must, simply
must, have an Eliminator. |
