Eliminator
or Enticer? An innocent enough question, but a definite yes or no is hard
to come by. Both bikes share a common reducing factor, the I-wanna-be
a-cruiser factor, but employ totally diverse approaches.
The
Enticer is aimed at the city sticker who wants to show off but can't afford
to splurge on a low- volume high-end mobike. The sort of guy who has budgeted
for a Splendor or Caliber but has a little extra dosh to splurge. At the
same time he doesn't want to lose out on the Fuel
Efficiency aspect. Which makes the Enticer an enticing enough package
if Yamaha succeeds in pricing her in the region of 50 grand, as it intends
to. The Yamaha is the ideal cruiser for the city; her stance doesn't hamper
maneuverability, the engine develops decent enough power, is comfortable
enough, handles well and brakes decently enough. And of course has style
to boot. Life is great, till you cross-city limits.
The
Eliminator. Well, what can i say? 1 could blabber on about how great the
engine is, or tranny or the brakes... but 1 won't. Have the moolah? Don't
think, just go for it, it's well worth it.
