TVS Fiero F2, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Hero Honda CBZ

  Fuel Economy

Light weight, a clever power/economy mode system, and skinny tyres give the F2 excellent mileage figures. At an average speed of 26kph, the Fiero returned 58.1kpl in the city, and a very respectable 63.6kpl along the highway.

The Pulsar’s mileage is res-pectable, at 57.3kpl in the city and 61.9kpl on the highway. Adding even greater relevance to this figure is the large, 18-litre petrol tank, which will give it a far greater range than the others.

This is the flip side of the CBZ’s stellar Performance: its Fuel Efficiency is the worst here, and by quite a margin. Hero Honda’s odd choice of a slide-type carb is shown up here; possibly, the thick rear tyre is another culprit: mileage is only 49.8kpl in the city, and 56.3kpl on the highway.
