Barring
a new set of clothes, there’s nothing to separate
the Glamour from a Super Splendor. A blindfolded rider would
be forgiven for not noticing the disparity between either
of these Hero Hondas. It’s a pity Hero Honda has chosen
this road to ride down, for we believe the Indian bike buyer
has become more discerning and expects more from motorcycles.
The Glamour should have offered a little more go to match
its show. The fact of the matter is that the ‘new’
bike rides and performs just like a clone; it apes the underpowered
feel of the first Quantum Core motor-equipped Super Splendor.
We believe the glitzy-looking Glamour will be hardpressed
to match the segment leaders, Bajaj’s Discover and
Yamaha’s Fazer.
