  Summing it up
Let's be honest, apart from the monoshock rear there is nothing revolutionary or ground-breaking about the Unicorn. All Honda has done is refine all the usual ingredients, package it in typically understated Honda styling and throw in quality levels to do the Honda name proud. And then there’s the engine and transmission package that is not only amazingly refined but delivers Performance and Fuel Efficiency to match and even better the class benchmark. Allied to a ride and handling package that is the best around this makes the Unicorn a worthy bearer of the legendary Honda wing.
Priced at Rs 47,811 ex-showroom in Pune the Unicorn is pegged at the same level as the current 150cc front runners which is good news. Not good news is the absence of an electric starter though we hear it should be on stream in a couple of months.
So coming back to what we said at the beginning, does the Unicorn justify all the hype and is it worth that three-year wait? As things stand we’re inclined to say “Yes, it is!”
