Same
old layout is as efficient as ever.
Both
bikes retain the single downtube cradle chassis with twin
top tube section employing Ceriani type forks at the front
end and 5-way preload adjustable shock absorbers at the
rear. The actual feel and the role of both chassis and suspension
in improving the overall handling shows up an entirely different
aspect On
the Road. The 120km ride to NCAT features steep gradients,
undulating curves, hairpin bends, smooth flat out stretches
besides rough ones that seem to carve bone from flesh.
A
truly testing ride. The chassis and suspension of the LML
bikes functions in well-oiled synch. The swingarm mounted
between the two downtubes that begin as a twin loop from
the steering head running all the way down to the swingarm
pivot, make the chassis extremely strong with very little
scope to flex under hard cornering. The bikes have the largest
wheelbase (1280mm) in their class. Shod with Dunlop 100/90x18
rear footwear, the handling and stability of the bikes is
impeccable. Come bumpy road, acute corner or blowy gusts
of wind, the bikes showcase handling characteristics seldom
witnessed on any other. The front and rear suspension soaks
up most of what our undulating and pot-holed road surfaces
throw up. Well-matched spring rating and damping on both
front and rear shocks enhance their ride character.
