While
the Energy will once again prove to be the ever on duty
mile cruncher, the Adreno will be standard issue in dating
games.
The
Energy FX and the Adreno FX are surefire show stoppers (let's
not dwell on the hunks astride). At one of Pune's new and
trendy coffee bars, both bikes received more than their
share of admiring glances from the guys (the girls, do we
need mention, were busy checking us guys out). The predictable
queries in this fuel arid land was about mileage, followed
by price. The Adreno FX ex-showroom Delhi costs Rs 51, 702
and the Energy can be acquired for Rs 43,842. The minimal
difference in price for disc brake, electric start and fairing
is welcome. However, octroi, sales tax and such in other
regions will hike the prices considerably. As proved by
the older siblings, long term maintenance costs are minimal
with low depreciation rates. Held in stark contrast to the
Rs 43K Croma, the Crux R at Rs 41K and the new Bajaj Aspire
at Rs 43K, both the Adreno FX and the Energy FX are strong
contenders yet again in the marketplace. Not to say they
make some of the most attractive bargains on the Indian
subcontinent.
LML has a long way to go before matching the likes of Hero
Honda, Bajaj or even TVS with its new Victor. The Energy
FX and the Adreno FX have made gains in one department but
lose out in others. As a follow-up to a brilliant maiden
twin venture, LML has cottoned on well to the needs and
requirements of the biker. The new bikes have the looks
and the go to get their buyers to their destination, in
pace and style.
