  Overall

Never have two bikes been so focused in their approach nor have they attempted to address the twin priorities of Performance and efficiency in such a balanced manner. Choices, surprisingly, are also very simple here.

Both these bikes are designed to deliver Performance while also being fuel efficient. If, however, Performance is your priority, the Pulsar 150 is right up your alley. If on the other hand, priority swings towards Fuel Efficiency, the Ambition is the bike for you.

That's not to say the bikes are duds on the other parameter. The Pulsar ran the Ambition close for Fuel Efficiency while the Ambition ran the Pulsar close on Performance. However we have to pick a winner here. Thus in the final countdown, the Pulsar just about managed to sneak ahead of the Ambition. That's not because of her Performance since the stakes evened out at the filling station. But the Pulsar got my vote owing to better equipment levels, chassis geometry and more muscular styling while being a couple of grand cheaper than the Hero Honda. And yes also for it being an all-Indian effort.

Detailed clocks on the Pulsar which includes a tachometer look sportier and outclass the facla of the Ambition. The Pulsar also comes out as the powerhouse between the two though ideally they are both in a class of their own with both engines sporting diffrent displacement. On the visual front too it is the Pulsar head and block that appear more substantial.
