You
would have observed that each bike excels at different roles.
The Achiever is the only 150cc motorcycle to buy if you are
an enthusiast biker thinking only in terms of pace. Hero Honda
should have done better than inharmoniously leaving its fleet-footed
contender looking so much like an Ambition. The Achiever surprises
for being a new bike, yet not recruiting a monoshock, thick
rear tyre or alloy rims, which are long available on its competitors.
It’s near impossible to choose between the Pulsar 150
DTS-i and the Unicorn — they are that close in the final
analysis. You simply can’t go wrong picking either of
these two bikes.
The Bajaj has to its credit fantastic looks, top-notch quality,
unbeaten value for money and a wide service network. And the
Unicorn is rightfully a refined biker’s favourite by virtue
of its rock-solid build quality, decent handling and an engine
that’s as good as perfect. Different qualities appealing
to different buyers but the Honda's flawless engine is what
makes that ever-so-slender difference to us.

NOTES
Switchgear
on Hero Honda and Honda can surely improve.
Ride quality on the Pulsar is far more spine friendly than the
other two.
Achiever is a hoot to rev and ride hard. |
