EVENLY-MATCHED
CONTESTANTS
Both contestants delivered such close Fuel
Efficiency figures so as to put them on an
absolutely level field. We were certain the fat 100/90
x 17-inch new rear rubber on the new 150 DTS-i would
compromise Fuel
Economy, when comparing numbers to the
conservative Unicorn on its slimmer rubber. However,
the Pulsar managed to surpass any such deficit to
churn out sparkling frugality despite its better-equipped
rear tyre.
The new Pulsar 150’s DTS-i-enabled engine managed
47.3kpl on the city route and 51.5kpl cruising along
the highways, while the smart gear ratios on the Unicorn
helped it give 49.9kpl on the city run and 52.7kpl
on the highway.
