 Ride & Handling

Wedging into minutest of traffic gaps is never a problem!

With her low payload, suspension and seating have been optimised for the most balanced rides I have experienced on a scooter of her class and capability. Without pillion the ride is on the firm side, which evens out with a full complement. Either way, traversing potholes or bumps the Scooty pep feels stable and well planted and she sticks to her line with little fuss. And in spite of the 30:70 front-rear weight distribution the pillion never feels like excess baggage nor does the front end get too flighty.

A strong chassis set-up coupled to an adequate wheelbase (1230mm), low ground clearance (130mm), low saddle height (740mm) and a set of fantastically grippy rubber (3.00x10” front and rear) from TVS Srichakra ensure the Scooty does not lose line or get quirky during maneuvers. The slice and dice through traffic clogs she handles with aplomb. Putting her through the paces at top whack the dynamics are such that she simply refused to waver from her line. TVS has definitely got the suspension geometry and the chassis set-up spot on for all contingencies.
