 TVS VICTOR

An important issue though not the only definitive factor, Fuel Efficiency cannot be ignored when evaluating Performance, especially in these days of high fuel costs (see story on Fuel Efficiency elsewhere in this issue).
The fuel economy that the Victor is capable of was determined over a heavily trafficked route and on the highway to arrive at a real world overall figure.

In the city where there were many traffic signal delays and much of the time was spent in the lower gears, it was noticed that the green economy mode light was on most of the time and a creditable 63.1kpl was returned.

Out on the highway where the mode light did fluctuate between orange and green, because even at 60kph in top gear the mode remains green and the bike was running in top gear most of the time, the gain at 65.8kpl was a bit lower than expected. But the closeness of the two figures does illustrate that the Performance does not degrade too much in the city in spite of the crippling conditions that the city test was conducted under.
